The Italian National Research Council (CNR) is the largest public research facility in Italy. It was founded with the mission to perform research, to promote the innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system, to promote the internationalisation of the national research system, and to provide technologies and solutions to emerging public and private needs.
The SDN Foundation for Research and Higher Education in Nuclear Diagnostics, founded by Prof. Marco Salvatore, is an integrated group of outpatient clinics specialising in diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests and is an Italian reference centre in its field. SDN is the only research centre accredited with the Italian Ministry of Health for research in the field of diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests. Its primary objective is to transfer basic research to the clinic in order to make the diagnostic ability of the scientific community ever more effective.
